Nevada Attorney General’s son arrested for domestic battery

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The I-Team has learned the son of Nevada’s attorney general is under arrest.

26-year-old Avery Ford faces a charge for domestic battery. Jail records show he remains in the Clark County Detention Center with a bail of 3-thousand dollars.

Widow, mother of drowning victims returns to El Salvador

SAN SALVADOR, El Salvador (AP) – A Salvadoran woman whose husband and toddler daughter drowned trying to cross the Rio Grande into Texas this week returned to her country Friday ahead of the bodies of her lost loved ones, a heartbreaking photograph of whom prompted an outpouring of grief.

Tania Vanessa Ávalos arrived in El Salvador with a family friend who had gone with them on their ill-fated journey to the United States. Visibly shaken, she did not comment. Officials say she has asked the media to respect her mourning and leave her alone.

Authorities decided for logistical reasons to transport by land the bodies of husband Óscar Alberto Martínez Ramírez, 25, and Valeria, 23 months, and they were expected to arrive Sunday.

Deputy Foreign Minister Mauricio Cabrera said the tragedy “has dismayed the national and global public opinion.”... Read More

Officials: Florida man robs Wendy’s after grilling burger

JENSEN BEACH, Fla. (AP) – Florida officials say they are looking for a ‘hamburglar’ who broke into two restaurants, fixed himself some food, and then stole money.

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office says the suspect forced his way into a Wendy’s in Jensen Beach, Florida, by smashing a window with a brick. He then fired up the grill, made himself a hamburger, and walked away with the store’s safe. He also went to another Jensen Beach restaurant, where he helped himself to more food and money.

Authorities say the man also tried to rob a gas station, but could not break in.

On Facebook , the office posted photos and asked the public to help identify the suspect, who has a tattoo on his left arm and is described as a white male in his mid-thirties... Read More
