Trailers, RVs go up in flames at Summerlin storage facility

Las Vegas Fire and Rescue battled a blaze at a storage facility in Summerlin Saturday afternoon.

It happened at 7441 W. Lake Mead Boulevard. According to firefighters, several trailers, and RVs at the Storage at Summerlin self-storage facility caught fire.

The eastbound lanes of W. Lake Mead Blvd. had to be closed at N. Buffalo Dr.

The fire which spread quickly, caused two rows of vehicles to go up in flames, according to LVFR's Twitter account. The fire created thick black smoke that could be seen for miles.

Las Vegas Fire and Rescue said three engines had to be called in to get the fire under control.

It took close to an hour to get the fire under control.

According to Las Vegas Fire and Rescue, no one was hurt in the fire. Fire officials are investigating the cause.
