Severe weather, flash flooding expected in valley area on Thursday |

The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning and flash flood warning for western Clark County.
The severe thunderstorm warning is expected to be in effect until 1:30 p.m. The flash flood warning for northwestern Clark County is in effect until 3:30 p.m.
According to the NWS, the Doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing quarter-size hail and damaging winds more than 60 mph. The radar also indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the north facing slopes of the Spring Mountains.
This storm was also located in Red Rock Canyon. It's moving northeast at 5 mph. Another severe storm was located on Kyle Canyon Road near Mt. Charleston.
The National Weather Service says over one inch of rain has already fallen in some locations, and it's quickly approaching two inches in some spots.
Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly as the water drains downward towards U.S. 95. Impacted roadways include Kyle Canyon Road, Lee Canyon Road, and Cold Creek Road.
