Metro Police have released the identity and a photo of the man accused of shooting and killing his grandmother in a Summerlin neighborhood Tuesday evening.
Police were called to the 2100 block of Henniker Way around 4:40 p.m. to investigate reports of an elderly woman who had been shot and was laying in the street.
According to police, the woman, believed to be in her 80's, was killed by her grandson, 45-year-old Bradley Francis. Detectives said Francis followed the victim out of the home and shot her with a handgun. Francis then went into the backyard of the home where he remained until he surrendered to police around 8 p.m.
Francis has no previous criminal history with Metro, police said.
