Red Rock Canyon will open artist-in-residence program in July | Arts & Culture
Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area will open its first artist-in-residence program in July.
The program will feature new works by three local artists from July 4 through August 30.
A reception to mark the opening of the program will be held at the visitor center from 5 to 7 p.m. July 9. The event is open to the public. People will be able meet the artists and view their artwork. Regular entrance fees to the recreation area will apply.
The three artists were all featured in a two-week residency at Red Rock Canyon this past spring.
The artist-in-residence program promotes art awareness at places protected by the Bureau of Land Management National Landscape Conservation System.
