ArtWalk Summerlin On Tap This Weekend | Arts & Culture
The 13th Annual ArtWalk Summerlin returns this weekend.
Trails Village Center brings the Las Vegas Valley’s longest running and largest fine art show, and celebration of artwork and fine crafts, kids crafts, live entertainment and art demonstrations. The juried show runs Saturday and Sunday, 10 am to 5 pm daily, at Trails Village Center in the heart of Summerlin.
The art show features fine art works and crafts in all mediums – mixed media, oils, watercolors, photography, works in paper, metal and clay sculpture, wood-crafted items, fiber, hand-created jewelry and works in glass. Local art guilds – including the Fiber Arts Guild, Vegas Artists Guild and the Nevada Clay Guild – will demonstrate their craft and exhibit and sell their works. The Fiber Arts Guild will also host a kid’s craft for visitors to ArtWalk. The artwork selected to represent this spring’s art show, titled “Murtle the Turtle”, was created by painter and illustrator, Lary R. McKee, a returning exhibitor. Las Vegas artists, Lisa Faulkner Wright and Jenny Valdez, return as exhibitors and local favorites.
Live entertainment will be featured throughout the pedestrian-friendly, shaded Center; free admission for visitors with free, onsite and adjacent parking available. ArtWalk is sponsored by Trails Village Center, which is located at 1970 Village Center Circle.
