An art exhibit showcasing work created by cancer patients, friends, caregivers and their families is on display at Humana Guidance Centers through February 17.

Organizers say it’s a way for people to express how cancer affects them through art. There also will be doctors from the Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada coming in to give talks:

Dr. El-Eid will be speaking on breast cancer screening and detection

Dr. Nicholas Vogelzang

1 p.m. Tuesday

Humana Guidance Center (Henderson)

1000 N. Green Valley Parkway, Ste 720

Dr. Vogelzang will be speaking on the importance of screening for prostate cancer
