Police searching for men who robbed store

Metro Police are searching for four suspects who robbed a business in the area of Cheyenne Avenue and Durango Drive this week.

According to police, the two of the suspects walked into the store at around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday. Two of the men acted like customers and walked around the store. One of the men then walked out of the store.

Two more men, armed with guns, came into the store. The men took money and merchandize then fled to an apartment complex at Cheyenne Avenue and Soaring Gulls Drive.

The first suspect is described as a black man between 20 and 25 years old. He is about 5 foot 10 and 180 pounds. He was wearing a gray and white, checkered hoodie, black beanie, white pants and red shoes.

The second suspect is described as a black man between 20 and 25 years old. He is about 5 foot 10 and 160 pounds. He was wearing a light gray hoodie, black pants and black shoes.

Metro Police are looking for a man who robbed a store near Desert Inn Road and Durango Drive.

According to police, the man walked into the business at around 2:30 p.m. Sept. 30. He kicked the employee in the chest, grabbed some merchandise and ran from the business, police said.

The man is described as a Hispanic man about 26 years old. He is between 5 foot 8 and 6 foot with a heavy build. He was wearing a red T-shirt and purple shorts.

Second suspect arrested in home invasion

Metro Police arrested a second suspect in a deadly home invasion last month.

Police arrested 28-year-old Robert Figueroa on charges of murder with a deadly weapon and burglary with a deadly weapon.

According to police, Figuero and Jorge Mendoza broke into a home near Charleston Boulevard and Hualapai Way on Sept. 21.  Two people were inside at the time and one of the residents was armed.

The resident shot back at Mendoza and Figueroa, police said. The resident, Monty Gibson, was shot and killed. Both Mendoza and Figueroa were injured.

A blood trail led police to Mendoza shortly after the home invasion. He was arrested that night.

Witnesses told police that Figueroa was involved and had been shot in the face and torso during the home invasion.

Police tracked him down Monday on an outstanding warrant from Henderson. During an interview with police, Figueroa told them he was driving to the house to buy marijuana.

Metro Police are looking for the public’s help in tracking down the person who shot two victims during an early morning robbery at a park.

According to police, the victims were at a park near Charleston Boulevard and Vista Center Drive in the early morning of Sept. 4.

Several young men approached the victims and demanded property. When the victims gave the men their property, one of the young men took out a gun and shot the victims in the legs.

The men then took the victims’ car. As part of the investigation, police released pictures of a car similar to the car that was stolen.

The car is a dark green Mitsubishi Gallant LS four door. The car originally had license plate 793LRD, but it may now have temporary plates.

The car has a spare tire mounted on the front right side of the vehicle.

City marshals looking for persons of interest in car burglaries

City marshals looking for persons of interest in car burglaries

The Las Vegas City Marshals are looking for help to find two people they call persons of interest a series of car burglaries at city recreational facilities.

According to the marshals, a total of six cars have been burglarized between Aug. 21 and Aug. 24 at three locations. Two cars were burglarized at All-American Park, 1551 S. Buffalo Drive, one at Durango Hills YMCA, 3521 N. Durango Drive and three cars at the Garside Swimming Pools, 250 S. Torrey Pines Drive.

The marshals would like to talk to a man and a woman believed to driving a silver, two-door sedan.

Police looking for two people who robbed a grocery store

Metro Police are looking for two people who robbed a Smith's Grocery store at gunpoint.

According to police, the robbery happened just after midnight Tuesday at the Smith’s at Charleston Boulevard and Hualapai Way.

The two robbers came into the store and forced three employees to lie on the floor. While one robber held them at gunpoint and stole their wallets, the other took money from the casino clerk.

The suspects were last seen heading east out of the parking lot.

Police search for man who robbed businesses in July

​Metro Police are looking for a man who robbed several businesses in the area of Rainbow and Charleston boulevards in July.

One of the robberies happened at around 5:20 a.m. July 22, the suspect entered the business, displayed a handgun, pointed it at an employee and demanded money.

After taking the cash, the man left the building on foot and ran through a shopping center parking lot.

He is described as a black man between 25 and 35 years old. He is 5 foot 9 and 170 pounds. He was wearing a blue hoodie, chrome aviator-style sunglasses and dark gray pants. He was carrying a large framed semi-auto handgun.
