Registration is now open for the Safekey program run by the City of Las Vegas.

Safekey is offered for before and after school at 68 Clark County School District Schools within in the city limits.

The program includes activities, crafts, contests, homework assistance and nutritious snacks.

Safekey is open on days that schools are in session. Program hours and cost vary by school. Financial assistance is available for qualifying families.

There is an annual $10 fee per child.

To register, parents must submit a participant information form to the Safekey office at 416 North Seventh Street, which is between Bonanza Road and Mesquite Avenue.

After submitting the form, parents can register and pay either online at recreation.lasvegasnevada.gov, or in person at Safekey office, or by phone at (702) 229-3399.

The Safekey offices are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday. The office will be closed August 12 through August 14.
