BLM Holds Open House on Efforts to Restore Red Rock Springs

The Bureau of Land Management wants to know what the public thinks about plans to restore three important springs within the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area.

The BLM is holding an open house Thursday at the visitor center about plans to restore La Madre and Rainbow Springs in Red Rock Canyon and Kiup Springs, which is in Trout Canyon. Presentations will be given at 2 and 4 p.m.

The bureau says that all springs have been changed by human interference and invasive plants, both native and non-native.

The open house will allow people to learn about the plans to fix the problems and comment on the efforts.
