Red Rock Canyon Open House Planned for Thursday | Environment
Officials at Red Rock Canyon want the public's input on plans to change and improve the conservation area.
The Bureau of Land Management will host an open house at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6 at the Red Rock Visitor Center classroom.
The BLM will be discussing proposed changes to the scenic drive and other areas of the area, including a new low-water crossing near Sandstone Quarry, new power connections to the Red Rock Fire Station and campground. There are also plans for a new water distribution system at the campground.
Those interested in attending the open house can get into the area for free by telling the attendant at the fee booth, along the scenic loop, they are going to the open house.
