Luxury condo complex earns tax reward for going green | Environment
A luxury condominium complex in Summerlin is being rewarded for its efforts to go green.
One Queensridge Place was awarded the Governor's Office of Energy property tax incentive for introducing energy and water saving measures.
The complex received the incentive after meeting the gold level standard for the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program. The condo analyzed its energy consumption in its towers, guest houses and parking garage and then found ways to conserve that energy, earning a 30 percent tax incentive for 10 years.
The condos were built in 2007.
