Football fans have the opportunity to meet legendary Hall of Fame quarterback Joe Montana this Friday at JO Sports! Montana will be in Summerlin during the evening to meet fans and sign autographs. There will be a limited amount of Montana merchandise available for purchase that people can have him sign.

Nationwide Holding Community Food Drive, Displaying NASCAR Show Car

This Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, Nationwide Insurance will be holding a food drive at the Summerlin Office to benefit Three Square Food Bank. The food drive will take place from noon to 5 pm each day, and throughout the afternoon people will be able to see the NASCAR Nationwide Series show car and even use the Nationwide racing simulator to take a spin around the track! NASCAR prizes will be handed out, and guests who bring non-perishable food donations for Three Square will be entered into a raffle for tickets to Saturday's Sam's Town 300 race! So all NASCAR fans, donate to a good cause and come see the Nationwide show car!

The food drive will take place March 2nd, 3rd, and 4th from noon to 5pm at the Nationwide Insurance of Summerlin, 7331 W. Lake Mead Blvd, Suite 104, Las Vegas, NV, 89128.

Get Free Pancakes on National Pancake Day at IHOP!

Las Vegas, I hope you're hungry! Tomorrow, March 1st, IHOP is celebrating National Pancake Day by giving every customer a free short stack of their signature pancakes! Instead of charging, they ask that people make a donation to the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Last year the event raised $2.1 million for charity, and the organizers are hoping to top that number this year.

Nevada Ballet Theatre Presents The Tried and True and the New

This weekend, the Nevada Ballet Theatre will be performing a series of works called The Tried and True and the New, which pairs traditional pieces such as Balanchine's Donizetti Variations with new works such as Canfield's Still, which will be premiering. 5 pieces will be performed by the NBT along with specials guests Matthew Rushing and Clifton Brown from the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. The Tried and True and the New will only be performed this weekend, from March 4th through March 6th!

Tickets for The Tried and True and the New start at $10 and are available at the Nevada Ballet Theatre's website. Performances will take place at the Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall at UNLV, 4505 Maryland Parkway, Las Vegas, NV 89154

City Of Las Vegas Grants Available for Neighborhood Improvement Projects

The city of Las Vegas is offering grants of up to $5,000 through the Neighborhood Partners Fund. The money is available for projects that are done by nonprofit neighborhood associations registered with the city’s Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services Department, and require the nonprofit match funds with volunteer labor. Applications for the grants will be available at workshops offered throughout the city, or can be found online at www.lasvegasnevada.gov/Apply/20718.htm.

Residents interested in the grants are encouraged to call 229-6681 to register the workshops, which will be held at the following time and location:
