Water Safety Event Targets the Whole Family | Health

Parents and kids can enjoy an award-winning water park while learning water safety Saturday.

The message of water safety will take over the YMCA Water Sports Park on Meadows Lane. There will be exhibits, hands-on learning and learn-to-float classes to teach parents and kids how to stay safe around water. 

“Year after year we have seen entire families come to the event eager to learn what they can do to keep everyone safe at their home pools, at public pools and at the lake,” said Joe Vassallo, water safety advocate and president of Paragon Pools. “Exposing all family members to good water safety practices is key to making everyone responsible poolside.”  

The event runs from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
