Realtors Give Free Advice | Housing
Realtors offered free advice to homeowners during a stop of the Home Ownership Matters bus Tuesday.
The bus stopped at the Boca Park shopping area near Charleston Boulevard and Rampart Boulevard. The event was sponsored by the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors. People could ask questions about buying or selling a home in a challenging market.
"If you are interested in home ownership, now is a great time in southern Nevada. Prices and interest rates are at their most attractive level for buyers. Please consult a Realtor with all the information to find the perfect house," Paul Bell with the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors said.
The bus also stopped at the Galleria at Sunset in Henderson. Members of the Clark County Commission and the Henderson City Council were also at the event. Also in attendance was State Assembly Majority Leader Marcus Conklin, a sponsor of bills to help struggling Nevada homeowners.
"Even with tight credit, there is also great value in the Las Vegas marketplace. There are a lot of homes on the market. Pricing is down. And it doesn't matter if you are a first time home buyer and eligible for some help or if you are an investor. Now is the time to buy," Conklin said.
