Summerlin Man Won't be Charged for Shooting
LAS VEGAS -- A Summerlin man will not be charged for taking the law into his own hands when he shot and killed a man attempting to break into his home.
The district attorney decided the homeowner shot 19-year-old Demarcus Carter in self-defense last month. Carter was killed in the home's backyard near Hualapai Way and Sahara Avenue. The resident believed Carter was trying to break into his home.
