Emergency personnel gave a free lesson in CPR, during a special training session Wednesday.

American Medical Response and MedicWest Ambulance showed people how to use compression-only CPR at an event at Tivoli Village, 440 South Rampart Boulevard.

Compression-only CPR allows people to keep life-saving blood flowing through a person's body. According to experts, the technique can be double or triple a cardiac arrest victim's chances of survival.

"This is one of the very few ways you can take 5 to 10 minutes out of your day to save someone's life and that is really just priceless," Matt Driscoll whose father suffered a heart attack said.

The event at Tivoli Village was one of dozens held around the country has part of American Medical Response's World CPR Challenge.
