Teacher Who Died on 9/11 Remembered | News
It has been 12 years since the terror attacks of 9/11, but those who knew and loved Barbara Edwards say her memories still linger in the hallways of Palo Verde High School.
Edwards, a popular teacher of both German and French, was on board American Airlines Flight 77, which was crashed into the Pentagon.
Wednesday morning, students and staff at Palo Verde High School gathered for an annual ceremony at her memorial on campus.
A teacher who was Edward's good friend says her story serves as an important lesson for the students.
"Things like this are going to happen through our lives, take them and learn from them, like the memorial it said to never forget," Kevin Hagood said.
Edwards taught at Palo Verde High for four years. She left behind three grown children.
