Red Rock Campground Back Open | Public Spaces
The Red Rock Canyon campground is back open for the fall and winter season, the Bureau of Land Management announced.
The campground closes down during the summer months because so few people use the area during the extreme heat of a southern Nevada summer.
It is the only developed campground in the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area and includes 71 individual campsites and seven group campsites.
Individual sites are $15 per-site, per-night and group campsites are $40 per-site, per-night. Reservations are required and can be made through the BLM at (702) 515-5371 or at email@example.com.
Fire restrictions are in place. Campfires and/or charcoal barbecues are not allowed. Those restrictions are usually lifted in late September or early October.
Backcountry camping is allowed in the conservation area above 5,000 feet. A permit is required and can be obtained by calling (702) 515-5050.
