Clouds Obscure Mountain Views | Weather

A winter storm warning went into effect for southern Nevada mountains at 1 p.m. Wednesday.

Forecasters are expecting between 6 and 12 inches of snow for Mt. Charleston. Sherry Swensk with 8 News NOW also says southern Nevada could be in for "thundersnow." It is a weather phenomenon where thunder is accompanied by snow, not rain.
