Rain Hits Valley

Rain Hits Valley

Several areas of southern Nevada saw rain Monday and snow was seen in the higher elevations.

The Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort reported getting three inches of new snow Monday morning. A winter weather advisory will remain in effect until 11 p.m. Monday. 8 News NOW's Sherry Swensk says southern Nevada could see sunshine and even temperatures into the 70s by the weekend.

Goodbye to Your Trash Cans

Thanks to John Turner of 8 News Now for capturing a scene we're used to experiencing in the valley not because of rain, but because of wind. Someone's trash cans in this Summerlin neighborhood are taking an exciting adventure down the storm gutter during this week's heavy rains throughout southern Nevada.
