More changes are coming to an older shopping center near Summerlin. A groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday marked the beginning of more renovations at Village Square, which is near the corner of Sahara Avenue and Fort Apache Road.
Crews started tearing down old signs to make way for a new look. Westport Capital Partners, the new owners of the center, also unveiled renovation plans that include a new parking lot layout, office space renovations and improved landscaping.
"Overall, just a new look and feel for the center that was once the community hub for Summerlin," Colby Durnin, a spokesman for the owners, said.
The shopping center also announced it will be welcoming 10 new businesses over the next several months, including 808 Tapas, Security National Mortgage Co., Remax, and Maka Beauty.
